Taylor Schilling cast in Orange is the New Black

Netflix foray into original projects must be going okay. According to Deadline, Netflix is proceeding with Weeds creator, Jenji Kohan, on the 13 episode series based on Piper Kerman's memoir of her stint in prision, Orange is the New Black. It's about Kerman's year in a Connecticut minimum security prison after attempting to help a drug-runner classmate from Smith College deliver a suitcase of money to an international drug ring.

                                                                                                        They also report that Taylor Schilling, who is best known from ‘Mercy' and ‘The Lucky One,’ has been cast as Kerman.  ‘Orange is the New Black’ will mark Netflix’s third original series, including ‘House of Cards' and ‘Lilyhammer.’                                                  

I've seen a couple of episodes of Lilyhammer and thought it was pretty good; very different from anything we have on regular network tv.
